How To Really Clean Cast Iron Pans.

when burning a fire or woodstove,wait til you have a nice bed of hot coals no flame and put the pans in the hot coals and leave there for awhile...any burned on junk on the outside of the pan comes off . remove pan let cool and then wire brush the remaining junk and then season pan.
