Have someone hold the day old pups for you on their backs so that you can see from the under side where you want to take the tail off. Using a large size pair of hemostats you crip down tightly where you want the tail off. Now twist off the end of the tail until it releases but don't pull it off. Now keep the hemostats crimped on the stump for approx. 20 seconds and then release. The end should be stuck together and no blood. Withhold pups from mother for about 30 minutes... V.
