This solution worked for me when I lived in an apartment and my cat insisted on wedging himself between the dishwasher and the pipes inside my kitchen sink cabinet; take an old shoestring or piece of twine (tie on another piece if the first piece won't be long enough). wrap shoestring around and through the handles of the cabinet doors. Tie firmly, using double knot, sailor-type knot or whatever you are familiar with. If you hear a 'thump' sound later in the day, it's your cat(s) trying to open the door to get in the cabinet. Correct them (spritz cat with water, etc.) and eventually the cat learns that s/he cannot get into cabinet anymore. Donna T., DE, entered 2005-06-24 |
