Re-Living My Childhood
I grew up in the central part of Alabama on a farily large farm that we shared with my grandparents and aunt and uncle. I can remember always thinking how boreing it was to live here always doing chores on the cattle farm. But I do remember always having family there to enjoy my mom and grandma's wonderful cooking. Now more than ever I miss my childhood. The farm has since gone and everyone has moved on or passed away. I miss everything that I once hated. Cleaning out the barn stalls, bailing hay, cleaning the chicken house, but I especially miss the family time. We did not watch much T.V. but instead spend most nights sitting around our kitchen table playing cards and drinking coffee. Granda pa making alist of what needed done the next day so everyone knew what they were going to be doing. I recently bought a small farm. I hope my kids can make some of the same care free memories I did as a child and in turn I can re-live my childhood through them.
