Visit To Grandpa And Grandmas House
I have some very special memories that will live with me forever. I can remember when all of Donnie and Ken Fenders grandkids (myself encluded) were young. We (all families) always seemed to make time to meet at Grandma and Grandpa's just to visit, nothing special just being together. Those times were the greatest, all the kids would go and do their thing and the grown up's the same. Doing this seemed to keep the familly together even though some of us lived hundreds of miles apart. Those visits with my family will live in my heart forever. I miss seeing everyone like we used to. My *grandparents always had room no matter how many of us showed up. And of course there were the meals which were out of this world, nothing can compare, I am now 31 years old but, those times seem just like yesterday, I just hope my grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousin, brothers, sister, and my parents know how much I love them and cherish all the memories we all created together and we should all know that even though our lives are busy we should make time like our parents did to get together that way our kids dont loose touch with all of the familly. Ruth Otey.

*Ken and Donnie Fender are now Desceased

A lot of water has gone under the bridge sence Ruth wrote this and posted it to the FENDER Family Website. I hope she will forgive me for posting it here without her permission. Ruth is the Duaghter of my Sister, Clella Ann Fender Otey and Larry Otey, of Toana,VA. Sence she posted this to our website, I guess I read it at least half a dozen times a year, and it still brings a tear. So I just thought that some of you would enjoy it too. If only we could go back! Harley Fender, Asheville, NC
