When i was a kid, we had a lot of wild cherry trees along the property line, and tent caterpillars would build their nests in them every summer. Mother didn't like them, so she tried all kinds of ways to get rid of them. One day, she got an old broom, wrapped some old rags around it, dipped it in kerosene, lit it, and set the nests on fire! The flames went up, the nest full of caterpillars fell down, and fell right down inside the front of her 'house' dress! WELL!! such a commotion! In the 100 feet to the back door, mother was down to her underwear, us kids were rolling on the ground laughing, and the caterpillars were thinkin' 'Serves ya right!'
