I like it because you don t have to use the dreaded candy thermometer and it doesn t need refrigeration.
1/3 cup cocoa
1/4 cup butter melted
1/4 cup milk
1 tablespoon light corn syrup
2 1/2 cups sifted powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Mix sugar and cocoa in a medium saucepan
. Stir in butter, milk, and corn syrup. Bring to a boil and boil exactly 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat immediately. Quickly stir in powdered sugar and vanilla extract.
Add 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans if you like.
Pour into buttered 8-inch square pan. Cut into squares. Enjoy
