3-4 cans(16 oz.each)light kidney beans, drained
2 cans(28 oz.each)whole tomatoes
2 large green bell peppers, chopped
2 medium onions, chopped
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1/2 cup finely chopped parsley
2 pounds lean ground beef
2-3 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon each, salt & pepper
1 teaspoon cumin
Brown meat with onion and garlic. Drain. Put meat mixture in crock pot and add remaining ingredients. Cover and cook on Low, 8-14 hours or on High, 4 to 5-1/2 hours. Serves 12.
This is 1 of 3 chili recipes, I cook during the winter months. Have a crock pot of this chili cooking for tonight's dinner. Posted Gut Buster Chili on March 15, 2005. My husband found that chili in one of his cookbooks years ago. Enjoy!
