4 Large mature green tomatoes.1/4 cup whole wheat flour. 1 egg, slightly beaten. 2 tablespoons milk. 1/4 cup wheat germ. cooking oil.
Slice tomatoes, discarding stem and the blossom ends. Dredge slices in floor. Mix egg and milk. Dip tomato slices in egg and milk mixture. Finally, sprinkle tomatoe slices with wheat germ on both sides. Fry on both sides in hot oil.( I found that my wife loves this in the summer. I will work in our garden and keep my eye on those green tomatoes !!
