Blackberry Liqueur
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup water
4 cups blackberry[blueberry works too]
1 1/2 cups vodka

Directions:
put sugar,water and berries together in a heavy pot and simmer till sugar is disolved and liquid starts to thicken.strain to remove seeds. I use a big mesh strainer and the back of a wooden spoon. Let it cool. add vodka an let stand covered for 2-4 weeks the longer the better. In winter try with chopped dried apricots.
