3 lbs. Johnathan Apples
1/2 C. Raisins
1/2 C. Flour
1/2 C. White Sugar
1/4 C. Brown Sugar
6 pats Margarine
1 pkg. Pillsbury Pie Crust (I cheat!)
Open and set pie crust aside, or, prepare your own pie crust recipe for a 9' double-crust pie.
Peel, core, and slice apples.
Dust a 9' pie pan with flour.
Lay crust in bottom of pan and sprinkle with flour.
Place a layer of sliced apples in bottom of pie pan, top with some raisins, white sugar, brown sugar, more flour, and cinnamon.
Continue layering apples, raisins, sugar, flour, and cinnamon until pie pan is full and apples are mounded.
Place pats of margarine ontop and cover with top crust.
Seal edges and flute.
Slit top of crust for steam escape route.
Sprinkle white sugar and cinnamon on top of crust.
Place in pre-heated 400 degree oven.
Bake for 50/60 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
I like to serve warm with a slice of mild cheddar cheese on top.
