Golden Dutch Girl
(Pie Crust)
Ingredients:
1 egg
1 tbsp. vinegar
5 1/2 c. flour (chilled)
2 cups lard (chilled)
3 tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 tbsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
On Top Of Pie Crust Brush Mixture Of;
1 whole egg beaten
2 tbsp. heavy cream
sprinkle with sugar

Directions:
Beat egg in measuring cup. Fill measuring cup to 3/4 full with cold water; add vinegar. Rub flour, lard, brown sugar, baking soda, salt together with hands. Add liquid all at once work until smooth. Rolls out beautifully. I sandwich my crust between saran wrap to roll out perfect pie crust without using flour to roll out, it's a no mess situation. Add your favorite pie filling. Brush top pie with egg heavy cream and sprinkle with sugar. Note; chilling flour and lard makes a flaky pie crust. Enjoy!
