2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon each of nutmeg and cloves (I would choose to use less!)
1 Tablespoon + 1 teaspoon (sweet & low) or your favorite sweetener for baking.
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 egg well beaten
1/2 teaspoon, salt and cinnamon, (I would probably use less!)
1/2 cup butter
1 cup of applesauce unsweetened
1 cup chopped nuts (if desired)
1 cup raisins (if desired)
Sift together flour, salt and spices.
Cream butter and sweetener. Stir baking soda into applesauce.
Add egg and combine with creamed mixture. Gradually add sifted ingredients blending together well. Stir in nuts and raisins. Drop by teaspoon on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake 375 degrees for 15 minutes or until lightly brown.
