2 cups dried navy beans
1/2 cup chopped onion
3 stalks celery diced
2 carrots diced
2 smoked Ham hocks or another chopped ham
1 teaspoon dried sage
1 bay leaf
1 garlic clove , minced
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 (16 ounce ) can chicken broth.
1). place all your ingredients in crock
2). Add enough water to generously cover
3). Cook on low for 8 to 10 hours. Or on
high setting for 5 to 6 hours.
4). when your soup is done take out bay
leaf and ham hocks. Discard bone and fat
from ham hock and remove meat . Return
meat to the soup.
