For anyone in the vicinity or who wants to make the drive, the Maryland Cooperative Extension Service will be holding their Beginner's Sheep Shearing School on Fri. & Sat., March 26 and 27 in Westminster, Maryland (about an hour south of Gettysburg, PA). Class is $50 and local accomodations run $60 to $150 a night. I took this class two years ago and felt it was well worth the experience.
