I voted for Nader last time. I figured Bush was gonna win anyway but I'd let my feelings about the environment show through my Nader vote. I had no idea Gore came so close to winning or I wouldn't have thrown away my vote. I don't get why Nader's running again. Has he gone cuckoo? Or is it like someone in the forum said, is the GOP supporting him?

now him i'd take a long look at. i remember he had the balls to expose the corvair. i just can't abide any more white house lies and looks like the other guy was a peacenik since he left the service, so that rules them both outa my book just as surely as monica ruled clinton out. my rule is simple: you chose pal, deal with it. we only have one opening folks, so let's be picky for once. whaddaya got, ralph? :)

Sorry Deadcarp;

Nader killing Corvair is an urban myth.
GM had already scrapped the Corvair idea before the book was written. Besides, what differance was there between the Corvair suspension & the VW?

I heard Ralph and Walter were gonna get married before Ralph declares his candidacy.

That would be if-so-facto. You see, it is based on the premise that if Nader runs as an independant, he will pull votes away from whoever the democrat candidate happen to be.

Now, the conclusion to that argument is one of three possible things, as follows: 1)Democrats don't like their candidate, or, 2) they are not loyal to their party, or, 3) They simply haven't a clue.

It is my sincerest belief that I don't give a d@@m, but I just couldn't resist a golden opportunity like this to sound off.......gfp

Perhaps the GOP is paying for his campaign feeling that putting him in as a candidate may be the only way GW can win this election since he is failing in the polls lols

Willy-N Polls?    Posted 02-20-2004 at 12:37:31       [Reply]  [No Email]
I heard they asked 900 registerd voters! I realy do not think that is a fair tally of the USA people do you? Depends where you ask and how you ask the questions. Come voting time the real poll will show, till then it is all Political Hype and Frills. Ask 900 people where I live it will be a total different view! Mark H.

Funny how they take them rinky-dink little polls and make em out to be the will of the people ain't it!!! The liberals are great spin-docs that's fer sure....I rank em right up there with the bean-counters....

Cipper The conservative twist just as many polls as the libs do. I seem to remember a poll done some 20 years back that said some 30% of babies born in this country had some amount of cocaine in their systems. Set off a firestorm of hang'em high laws, mandatory testing for all women in labor and their newborns and another layer of we know whats good for you in our lives. Turns out the survey was done in three public hospitals One in Houston one in St.Louis and the third in Tampa and from this the conclusion wa drawn that we are a nation at risk.

Hey by no means are the conservatives innocents by a long shot....I just see more of the liberal polls here than any other cuz of my geographic location. Frankly I ignore em but some folks swear by em and that's what rankles me.
