Clark Byers passed away last week. Most of us Know him by his signs "See Rock City"...Mr. Byers was 89 and painted signs for over 30 years. He retired in 1969 and had painted over 900 barns in 19 states. Mr. Byers was also the orignal owner and developer of Sequoyah caverns.

A small but significant part history is now gone.

I saw that in one of the local fish wrappers this morning. I remember as a young'un when we would make our annual fall trip to North Ga. to see kinfolks (before I-75) my sister and I would see who could spot the barns and bird houses first.
