My Day started by doing a brake job on the daughter's Mazda, removed it all and went to town to fetch the needed parts then stopped by the shop to turn rotors and drums.Got back and reinstalled it all and went for a short test drive...ok.
Pulled back in and noticed my tire flat on the pick up, got the jack and air wrench out,it would not break them loose, had to get a cheater bar and 4-way wrench to break them loose. OK...
Last project was taking the hood for the to30 restoration project down to bare metal. I used my air sander and roll-lock pads and finished the job in about 3 hours.

I sure wish I were fishing somewhere's today though....really beautiful day here in Ga.

TO...who is not tired yet...maybe......naaaahhhh

All I did today was go for my first ride on the tractor I bought last May 16. Got a call from my young friend this morning. He said "Come on up and take it for a ride. It's running great."
So I did and he's right, it is running great.
This tractor's name is now Lazarus as he has come back from the dead. He's a '44 Case SC.

I never heard of a tractor being called, "he". Cliff says all things of beauty, grace and coordination are "she". This includes any sort of tractor, in his estimation. Our WC Allis was made from two parts tractors; it has a name-plate on it that reads, "Donna's Born-Again WC".

My other three tractors have female names. But Lazarus seemed quite appropriate for this one. There otta be at least one rooster in with the hens.

I know you were fighting some rebuilding woes, looks like you have that fixed. Is this a complete restoration?
My latest project is a TO30 that belongs to our saftey Director.she said " Take your time and do it right" I've had it 2 months and have everything done but the painting and electronic conversion completed. The primimg and painting is all the way to bare metal...

Nope, I don't plan to do a complete restoration. In fact, I may never paint it at all. It's going to be a toy. Maybe do some Rube Goldberg type stuff with it. I'd like to build a little platform on the back where a couple people could ride and maybe a canopy, like the old steam tractors had. I'll post a "before" picture in a minute. BRB.

Here it is just before I picked it up and brought it home. Believe me, it was every bit as bad as it looks. :( It should have been a parts tractor.
