there is a show on rfdtv rirht now,prarie farm report, that shows some inventions farmers came up with out of necessity. Deadcarp, are you on there?

nope missed that one - they read one of my poems "innkeeper" on prairie home companion once though. farmers hafta be inventors - it's one of the few jobs where you can lose money 30 years in a row & still come out ahead. miracles take a bit longer. :)

RFDTV has some good programming, but way too much horse stuff. They really need to get some new material and get more creative.

I love that Prairie Farm Report. Fully as interesting if not more so than US Farm reports.

Even better... I get a paper for the Shop called "FARM SHOW"....loaded with all that neat stuff and good pictures of the inventions too.Oh yeah...NO ADVERTISING at all....paper averages about 40-50 pages per issue.

Oldsmobile Dealership on Main Street....right next door to a big old Catholic Church...course fer the last 8 years or so its been a GM Dealership.If ya headed outta town on that same road it turned into the Sunset Highway going to a little town known as Sunset.Hey if dat don jog yer memory don't worry bout it....I know ya got bigger fish ta fry:^)

yep, i remember now. we had freinds on the outskirts of town, on the sunset hi way. Big curve, house on right. Joyce and To-do Babineaux. She died of cancer, he's still playing boray every night as far as I know. Ate my first turtle at their house. Later, kids gotta have the net for homework.

If it is a big red brick ranch house that your're talking Aunt and Uncle bought that house a few years back! It is right there on the curve-right hand side of the road....just past Soileau's Dinner Club!! :^)

nope, maybe I'm still turned around, the Babineax's lived out on the road to Church Point come to think of it, small white frame house on the left. Been too many years. :^)

Yep....going out of town in the opposite direction....north will take ya to Church Point(got relatives there too) and south will take ya to Sunset.
