Had a individual plug a welder into a outlet and blew up the welder the other day. The welder is wired for 230 plgged it into 460. The welder was only 4 or 5 years old.

As a police officer I had several bad days when I had to tell someones wife, husband, or parent that their loved one wasnt coming home anymore. My personal worst was on October 25th 1995 when I took a life in the line of duty. that was totally senseless and unneccesary, but I did what I had to.

I have to jump in here with a lighter story.

My worst day at work was the day I started a brand new job, and on the very first day, I walked in to meet everyone with the back of my skirt tucked into the back of my pantyhose!

As a construction worker we make up about 3 to 5% of the American work force and account for 75% of the on the job fatalities. In my 30 plus year career I have been around more of them than I care to count. Those were always bad/worst days at work unless you happen to be the guy that has to go tell some mans family that he won't be coming home anymore. Guess the really worst day at work will be the day that it is my turn not to come home alive. I have had my close calls too and have been witness to many.

My worst day was the day I had to tell my partner that I wanted out of the business. He is a great guy and we were good friends...and still are thankfully. But the way the business was going, it would fold in a few monthes. So I got my own customers and started up another company before telling him I am done.
He said he couldn't do it alone and that I can have it all, just give him half and please don't rip him off.
