Bless you Kelly. I knew Clink cared. She was thinking of my comfort.
Broke so many years, starting a large family, having my health distroyed, a family needing nourishment, shelter, warmtth, and direction the years haven't been easy.
The most cherished gifts my wife appreciates are my stories, the humorous side of them. The light side of those dire days we didn't think we were going to make. The rediculase side of all the crazy thing her or I had to do for the survival of the family. And now, these so called golden years we help line the medical society's pokets with silver, I poke fun at ourselves to help us both laugh away our pain. She's got'em both arthritus and ositoathritus. She can't take the weight on her legs. I've got three out of the two plus a heart condition. I've got to keep going to avoid the painno matter the severity or watered eyes. Drugs shortens life. Laughter has been said to be the best healer.
I've been a heal for yrs. Wait....wait...wait... I'm geting this wrong.
Let me pass along some meantime advice. dump the kids on their grand-parents. If this isn't possible, make some kid watching trades with other like aged kids. Total house sleepovers, I'll watch my neighbors kids this afternoon, they'll watch mine tomorrow. Getaway. For an afternoon, better a day, make happy talk, go skinny dippen, picnic, make love dessert. Do this at least a minimum once a month. Try it every three weeks. It worked for us, including: no talk of kids, clothes, nor anyother no mater how trivel a subject. Speak and act only love.
It's worked for us, and now we laugh over our memories: the start, the kids, and ourselves.
Enjoy! Enjoy life. It's a mysteriouus gift we may only travel & taste once. And it tastes better shared.
Still trying to get it Right.
