Morning Kelly, I just got home from work and was reading the posts, when I got to your "mean" post I hadda chuckle.
I won't even comment on Rainbow's profile, I ain't gettin slapped for that one again. However I just got to thinking about the time when a neighbor, asked us for some money because his family was hungry. We promptly packed up a couple of boxes of food, and delivered it. (by golly no one's gonna starve in my valley as long as I have a freezer full of beef and pork)
The food was promptly returned, well not the steaks and chops, with a stern lecture that he was not asking for handouts of food, he asked for a few dollars.
I mentioned that the 8 empty beer cases on the back porch could be returned for deposit. Do you know that you can put the "F" word into one sentence eleventy seven times??
If you were mean, then scoot on over, and make room on the meanie bench for me. I usually find that the folks that have exhausted "EVERY" resource, won't ask for charity. Most times folks that ask for charity haven't even tightened their belt, let alone put it up for sale.
Just the ramblings of a mean 'ole tightwad
Ron

did not say where property is. Maybe I will buy it and turn a good profit on it-hey one man's loss is another mans gain.

Thanks for all you good folks backing me up. I just know hand outs don't always help people. SOmetimes people have to learn the hard way, but they are better people for it. They will appreciate the little things in life, and stop worrying about what they don't have and keeping up with the "Joneses". What about family? Doesn't she have any family that can take her in, or help her? Well, anyway, thanks, and I have one more question,

Did anybody notice the milk post? It was a Sue, but on Netzero, which we allknow the first ten hours or whatever are free, and its cheap after that, so is that the same sue, and is she assuming another identity? Just wondering if that is still her???

Did younse know that other mean woman from down south.? Last name of Brown, I think. First name had something to do with a state. Oh yeah, it was Georgia. That's it, Mean Georgia Brown. Er, wuz that Sweet Georgia Brown. Oh, no, no, no, now I remember, it wuz her brother, you know the one they called Bad LeRoy. Now, there wuz a mean-un.
They say he wuz the meanest man in the whole downtown. But, he never run across our girl Kelly. Cuz, if he had, they'd be rewriting the song. Way to go Kelly.

What you said was truthful...its only mean to the people who don't want to hear the truth.

You did good.

Do you poach timberdoodles?
Hey, ya made any steam yet?

Nope...    Posted 03-02-2004 at 05:25:42       [Reply]  [No Email]
To both...

I shoot 'Doodles, but not here...And then only during season...

My roll of ceramic blanket was shipped yesterday...I got all the mains and branches set yesterday and am tapping as soon as this sausage is in me...No one here is boiling yet...Trees are just getting rid of the tree-top sap so far...This drizzle will loosen the ground around the trees...I had 5-6 inches of frost under the snow where I was driving T-posts yesterday...Steam by the weekend at this rate...Still ahead of last year as my first boil was 3/10...

Well i'll sit on the bench next to you all, we've been down and almost out, but to ask people for money, sorry that ain't right. I didn't get on till this am and figured it was to late to reply to her letter, but in my opinion, there's so many ways to get help before asking someone for a handout. She could get some kind of work or like everyone said sell stuff or get a room mate. Hey maybe she could sell some of those things that go buzz in the night(sorry couldn't resest) Maybe she's for real, but I just dont see why she can't do something else. I belive in helping people, but there are some many other resourses out thier than what she choose to do. As always, JMPO

Wouldn't wasting a shotgun shell on a timberdoodle be like like launching a tomahawk missle on a mouse. A man could starve to death waithing to get enough of them skeletons to eat.
