BE THANKFUL TODAY
copyright March 3, 2004
Donna Wood

If you would be happy, it's easy to do.
Survey all the good things that happen to you.
We're granted such blessings in wondrous array,
If you need a lift, then be thankful today.

Surrounded by blessings, it's hard to explain
Why so many people will gripe and complain.
Does God ever wonder, in total dismay,
Why folks won't take time to be thankful each day?

Gratitude changes the stoniest heart
And causes the blues to dissolve and depart.
Acknowledge the people who brighten your way:
Try saying "thank You". Be thankful today!

It's easy to dwell on the bad in your life
And give in to whining, complaining and strife;
But count all the positives coming your way:
Don't be an old grouch. Just be thankful today!

Fewer days to look forward to I cherish each new day I see my Clink.
She's brought all new dimensions to our relationship; but, I see in her all her bests.
Thanks

You are correct, no matter how bad we think things are, we can always find something to be thankful for. One of which I am thankful, are the people on this board. Have a good day.

Speakin of jump starts, I was up before the sun this morning. First I put on the coffee, (my own brand of jump start), and then I went on line. First place I visited was CL and found this poem. Well, needless to say, it poem gave me my first jump, then I went to the kitchen and poured a cup of the second. Thirdly, as I sat there at the table, sipping and a savorying, the sun came up and flooded the room with still another big eye opener. Thank you Donna for being first to getting me off on the right foot today. And, Thank God for Sunshine and Folgers. Everyone have a good day......gfp
