Nobody's Friend

Reminds me of    Posted 03-05-2004 at 10:00:12       [Reply]  [No Email]
My name is gossip.I have no respect for justice.
I maim without killing.I break hearts and ruin lives.
I am cunning and malicious and gather strength with age.
The more I am quoted the more I am believed.
My victims are helpless. They cannot protect themselves against me because I have no face and no name.
To track me down is impossible. The harder you try the more elusive I become.
I am nobody's friend.
Once I tarnish a reputation,it is never the same.
I topple governments and wreck marriages.
I ruin careers and cause sleepless nights, heartache and indigestion.
I make people cry in thier pillows.
Even my name hisses.I am called Gossip.I make headlines and headaches.
Before you repeat a story ask yourself,is it true?Is it necessary? If not ,DON"T REPEAT IT!!

While we had the motel, my naive aunt cleaned rooms. Hard worker, always on time but she was such a gossip she started scaring customers off so we let her go. Well after awhile she noticed somebody else was doing the job so she asked why she'd been replaced. I didn't have the heart to tell her she had a nasty habit so said she was getting up in years and we wanted someone with more energy for the coming busy season. Boy that lit her up but at least her sharp tongue was limited to church members and didn't impact our business too much anymore. People like that just chatter without considering the damaging effect of their imaginations.

naz the snows 4 ft deep on my front lawn, supposed to be in the mid teens here by tuesday next week if we get rain with that kind of warm weather and the snow melt off the mountains along with it , it can get interesting , but as long as it melts i,ll deal with it haha, i,ll bet you,ll be having your hands full with that snow melt and rain there though, but hey its almost spring , that was always my favorite time of the year back there, course summer at heathers beach sure was a nice way for a kid to get into all kinds of trouble too lol.
