It's a Deutz model FL1-612. It was made in Germany in 1953. It's bi-directional {not tri-directional like the legendary Essex}
The seat is reversible in it's bracket, all you have to do is lift it out and put it in on the other side. All the controls work in either direction.
I agree on the color thing, I personally prefer a different shade of green!

I always wondered why Tractor seats weren't positioned at one side or the other of the platform with a locking swivel feature. Sure would have saved a lot of strain on the neck. Of course it's been a while since I ran one. So, by now, they might have corrected that oversight....gfp
