I have a cast iron cake mold

and I was wondering if you could tell me how to prepare it for baking?I use my skillets but never had a cake mold..Thanks for any help.

To season the bundt pan, you need to clean well and heat to about 300 in the oven...Remove carefully and wipe inside and out with vegetable oil...Return to oven for maybe 10 minutes...Remove and do it again...Three rounds in the oven with fresh coatings of oil each time and then a final 10 minutes in the oven...Remove and let cool and use...When cleaning in the future do NOT use a scrubby or much effort...Wipe well with a clean cloth under running water is all you want to do with cast...

Season it up well afore ya start baking cakes with it....you'll love the results is does with cakes.
