Hey everybody, looks like I missed a lot of posts today. Cowgirlj, I don't know a thing about horses, but I do know if any animal is sick, it's traumatic for you and the animal. I wish your horses a speedy recovery. Lenore, I know exactly where your coming from, I bought Ian a Dremel, just so he could cut the ends off the screws sticking out of the other side of the walls of the henhouse. I get it home, he opens it, missing part, right off the bat. Had to go BACK up to Walmart, exchange it. I like to never got started today! Fern, I see you have been busy today. I guess if it was snowing here, I would be inside, too. As it stands, I actually had a very productive weekend. The weather cooperated, and I just about have the henhouse all done. It does look a little plain though. I am going to decorate it a little, maybe hang a few little windchimes from the dollar store on it, paint a few flowers or something on it. Haven't really decided on what exactly to paint on it, but it will come to me.

I have never attempted to build anything, so the fact that this houses four corners actually matched up is a wonder. I worked and worked and worked on it. I got the chicken wire down on the floor of the house, saw that as a tip to keep critters from burrowing into the house, then laid the bricks down around the perimeter, attached all four walls, had Ian and a friend of his lift it onto the bricks. I threw the roof on top just to see how it looks. Looks good, but I still think it needs some flair, some personality. Its just too plain. I will take a picture of it before, and then after I decorate it, so y'all can see what I mean by plain. I know the chickens don't care, but I do. :)

Seems like this weekend has been too short. I got a lot done, but the truck didnt get washed, and the laundry didn't get done. Did wash the dog though. Guess theres always tomorrow, and the next day, and the next....lol.

I missed all y'all today, hope your day was as good as mine. It felt good to be outside in the sun working. Can't wait til tomorrow, to do it some more.

Hi Kelly: Missed ya.
Haven't had anybody to pick on all day. So, I've just ben kibitzing all day.
On the home front I've managed to clear another 40/50sq ft floor space throwing out an old tube type HiFi. Moved Clink's sewing machine to the same space. Still have to sort out the wiring to hook it up.

Other than that she wont let me near her since I worked on her teeth a day or so ago. If ya ask me she's gotten afully fussy over what she wont let me fix. Never thought she'd get so riled-up under just one little tooth replacement.

Oh well, such is life! If there should be another line here it has escaped me.

This Chicken house for the chickens or yourself?

Be happy! xxx

For the chickens, silly goose! lol Wish I had enough daylight and energy to finish it, but there is always tomorrow. You be careful doing heavy lifting. Last thing you need is a hernia! Has your grandson? was it? come to stay with you yet?

Yeah I really am gonna decorate the outside. :) It looks so plain. It needs personality. Got to start on the run and fasten down the roof this coming week. They are gonna be ready to go out soon. I let them run around outside while I am out there with them now. A hawk was screaming somewhere nearby and they all got under a low branch and stood very still, smart chickens.

seems to be a building kinda day. when we were leaving church this morning one of the ladies called me over and asked me if we would take 11 new zealend white giants off her hands. seems her grandson left them with her for a week while he went with his friends ,that was 2 1/2 mo. ago now he tells her he doesn't want them .so we came home and built a hutch and my father in law has been here all day helping.he had lunch and supper with us so i guess i'll be on my mother-in-laws sh*t list for a week.

Now that was a nice thing you did, taking those chickens off her hands. And your MIL shouldn't say a word, I bet he enjoyed spending the day with you building stuff. :)
