Blue, my colt is doing awesome! The lymph nodes under his neck are no longer swollen with heat, they are draining nicely and he is feeling much better. His vet is very pleased with him! The little pony Spirit is just at the beginning stages. Fever and snotty nose, lethargic, but no swollen lymph nodes yet. My big girl Dusty, is still showing no symptoms. So, one done, two to go.
I'll post some pictures of my kids in the gallery.

Was it pigeon fever? Glad they're getting along okay, or at least improving. I live between Kiowa and Elizabeth, east of Castle Rock. Gotta get with the vet for spring shots and worming for our two horses soon.

Saw the photo of your tractor. Looks a lot like an International utility tractor (maybe a 300). It doesn't look like a valuable "collector's" tractor, but does look like a solid working machine.

Look for "casting codes" (numbers cast into the iron) on the block and head, and just about any cast piece of the tractor. One of those should have an IH symbol nearby. You can then search the Farmall Forum archives, or post a question, and figure out the year and model

This is a photo of a IHC 300 I found in the YTMAG Tractor photos section.

If it runs you can get more than $1,000 in Colorado.

Where is located?

The only horse health issue at our place is weight. Trish's (my almost 11 y.o. daughter) horse gets fat loking at food, or thinking about grazing. My mare doesn't get enough work........

I have all the excuses for not riding.

Thanks Pat. Great info. The tractor has been spoken for at this time. We are just outside of Colorado Springs.
Our horses have strangles. Not a nice thing to deal with, but a lot nicer than pigeon fever from what I've heard. How did your horses make out? I hear pigeon fever is quite common in this state. I hope I won't have to go through that too.

Thanks everyone, I do appreciate the support.
I have done a stupid thing. I cleaned up all my pictures out of my computer and now I can't find pictures of Dusty and Blue. Guess I'll have to get outside with the camera tomorrow.

Always like to get updates on things that are important to our friends here.
Seems Dusty may have been vaccinated before,
that would be really good.
I am sure you will take excellent care of them and they will be fine.
