Had a suprise this morning. The cows were all bunched up by the barn gate looking at a new neighbor. A steer! Seems he walked over 3 miles, up the lane (1/2 mile)and just stopped by for a visit and a munch of spilled hay.

Cowman put him in the pen (actually he just walked in on his own once the gate was opened!)and we waited for a phone call. "Herc" the neighbors 4-H project came to check out the girls, I guess.

A couple of years ago, a feed-lot steer got loose, hit on the road, and came to live in our woods. Talk about a heart attack seeing him at the edge of the driveway! His only damage by the hit, was a bent ear. He stayed about 4 months getting fat & happy!

One big happy family! The dog from Michigan, The cat from Tennessee, the Canadian pair of geese that enjoy our pond each year.....

I LOVE THE COUNTRY especially when the visitors are critters!

Ya see my Skunks, send back home straight away?
I stumbled upon another ant hill.
I hates ant hills and mud!

There's a smell in your trade offer somewhere. But, I'll sniff it out before I answer one way or other.
