....all day.
Ever have it going well then here she comes. Moving across the last yard, my legs moving/looking like a picket fence I was covering ground. Yup, her she come. had to be the female mind. Meeting head on she didn't know whether she wanted to pass right or left. Stopping to avoid a single-cow stampeed we met. She bobed her head right~n'left`n'right`n'left over and over, myself sinking in the ooze creeping over my ankles, starting up my calves. I knew not where my toes were. I only knew wanted higher drier.ground.
At long last she had decided her head bobbed to her left she passed me on my right.
A wiggle this way, a shake that way, A bit of pulling, some toe curling wishing I managed to free myself from the MUD's miring clutches. I haven't been a pretty sight today; but, that's the way its been for some time.
Boy!!! Do I hate's mud.

Reminds me of the time the Chattahoochee was real low, so low it wasn't running through where my Uncles house was on the river. My sister and I, being the kids we were, decided to go treasure hunting, or something. Who knew what was going through our heads. We set out and think its pretty neat that we are walking where the water was supposed to be. We get all the way on the other side of the river bank, and my sister sees something. Something white, really stands out in the mud. So, I tell her not to go to far out, to be careful, then, it happened. She happened to have on her brown boots, that zipped up the side, the long ones, that came up to the knees. SHe started to sink in that mud. She was wiggling and panicking and I was hollering and panicking, I wanted to go get daddy, she said, no he is gonna be mad if we do that, so, I stepped out as far as I dared, and grabbed her hand, and pulled, and pulled, but she was stuck good. I pulled REAL HARD, and she came right out of her boots. SO, there they were, submersed almost completely in the river mud. We walked back, knowing we were gonna get it. She in her socks, which were muddy as all get out by the time we got back. We didn't get into as much trouble as I thought we would, just a whole lotta "What were y'all doin????" Oh, the white thing in the mud that started it all, was a duck egg. lol WE never even got the darn thing either. Forgot all about it in the heat of things!
