Donna, do you eat rabbit?
Domestic rabbit is very good eating.

I posted a picture below of your anniversary gift in the engagement ring thread.

I'm looking at Clink's walking fuzzy-daughter socker-ball. She's a cat factory and ever so pregnant again. Told Clink she gonna have to explain the facts of life to that critter. We got enought already.

Wish ya was next door. Must bea dox rab cages around here.

Just don'tget to hopped up over all this.

Are ya having fun still?
Fernan

i figure my granddaughters will be visiting in june and they'll get a big kick out of them ,they're city kids.in case you didn't read my post about the rabbits a lady at church sunday knew we had a farm and asked me to take them because her grandson left them at her house and took off. i agreed but didn't know all the ladies were in a family way.

Wow.. 9 females. You could end up with (for example) 45 bunnies if the average is 5 babies each. Then in three months or so.. (example again) if only half are females and are bred.. 22x 5 (again using an average birth) You could have 110 bunnies..and in another 3 months.. half of 110 (half females) x 5 = You could have 275 bunnies in a year. Lots of meat for the freezer.. dont forget the half of the number being males and they are in the freezer... and that the original 9 are bred again and again.. you may end up with quite a few bunnies.. LOL

That could be 40/50 or even more.

For some reason this reminds me of a fellow living a few miles south of us. The neighbor boys got into his rabbits and turned them loose. The round up lasted for days.
Wild rabbits and wild rabbit hunting around there hasn't been the same since. Seems all them bunnies intermingled breeding he he heslowing down the wild, and speeding up the tame. Then there was the supple changes in all their varied coat collors.
