I did'nt ever see where them fellers ever told you the handy part about them wooden wire spools

There is one real good use I have found for them.

I mounted a vice and about a 1' piece of RR track for and anvil on one and use it for a portable work table.

If you're out piddlin around on junk or whatever you can roll it up next to where you're working, lay it down and you have a sturdy work bench.

This one here is just the right height to sit in a chair and tinker on carb rebuilds, generators and the likes.

It's awful handy working on tinker projects and when it gets all clobbered up all you have to do is stand it up and sweep the funk off of it.

The vice does away with the "COME OUT HERE AND HOLD THIS FOR ME" knock down drag out fer yelling, plus you don't lose the smaller parts while yer waiting.

That's a good thought. And when yer spool gets all rotten or broke, just go get another one.

Yeah just don't run over the vice handle with a tractor tire. 8^(
