Has anyone every made tortillas out of whole wheat flour? Are they edible?

oh sure, we've made them outa masa, oat, wheat, corn flour, bisquick(makes great sopa pillas) even cracked corn that's soaked overnite(boil it for porridge -hey, $6 for a 50 pound sack). not cattail flour yet but i've seen them from that. knead it enough to bring out the gluten - otherwise just add an egg, roll them out between plastic bags and stack em. :)

I have made them from Masa Harina.... a corn flour, but never from wheat. I would think they would be edible, but have a different flavor. Let us know!
