I want to quickly plug this little program. Handles loads of file types & it's still free - displays thumbnails as you browse thru your picture files, plays sound files as you browse thru them and does lotsa neat tricks with photos (effects like oil paint, outline, negative, resizing, sharpen, slideshow) without hurting the original or anything. Keep it handy on your desktop. Well worth the few minutes to download. :)

I agree - Irfanview's a great little program, and one I've never had any problems with over the years.

Another great program for working with photos is the JASC Paint Shop Photo Album. I use it nearly every day.

I sure hope that they have improve it.
I had IrfanView once and after a few times using it. It thought that it owned my computer and a either a new plugin or patch had to be downloaded every two hours it seemed. I like to never have got rid of it.

I will stick with The Print Shop and Ulead Photo Express.
