I work for the DMV and am sorry that you were put through all the rigor-ma-role, Mike... but we have to follow the procedures passed down to us. The only reason we need to have your SS# is thanks to those wonderful terrorists we now have to look in every nook and cranny for. We still do not want you to put it on your operators license, but we have to have it to make sure you don't pilot any airlines..... thats the way it is, folks. We don't like it either. I hope your experience with DMV was tolerable after all the run around you had to do. Just thought I would share this....... Im new to the Kountry and enjoy your posts.

I first signed up for a SS# in the early 50s as a Social Studies project. We were told then that a SS# is not to be used as a identifaction number as that is what Hitler did to the Jews by tatooing them with identifaction numbers. It was to be used only for income tax purposes. If some politico made it as a ID number, any one who signed before that date should be exempt from having his number used for identifaction. I did not sign to have it used as a ID number.

It's a matter of choice.... do you want to mail a copy or bring it to us??? I know it's an inconvenience.... and frankly, if'n I didn't work here, I probably would hate coming in...... well,,,, okay..... I guess I do hate coming in every day, *come on Lottery balls!!!*
