Years ago, we once applied for a USDA guaranteed home loan, and the program manager didn't like our numbers, as we just squeeked under the eligibility (income level) wire. So he sent us a form to sign saying that my wife would never, EVER work again.

I went to their web site, got their rules and calmly regurgitated it back to him and faxed the whole thing over, w/o signing his (made up) form, stating that we did meet their eligibiltiy requirements. It was clearly harassment.

He quietly approved our application. He was a real jerk-0.

The USDA has some good loan programs...if anyone is interested, or you know of someone who would need something like this....
