well today is the time for annual fertilizing the pasture. Weather here looks like mid 50-60 for the near future with rain tomorrow. cows are dying for grass and picking through hay. Looks like my feeding hay days are short. Takes longer to go get the spreader and bulk fertilize than to actual spread it, plus who knows if the old jeep (200000 miles on original clutch)will make it oh well thats the life of a farmer-it carries its own rewards. Good day to you all!

My Fertilizing days are about three weeks away. have some more drying needed about here. A lot of wind blown-down trees to cut up and/or move. 5/6mi elc fence to roll-up. There back to moving and/or shoving cut-up trees out of way. Be lucky to fertilize a week or so after Easter. Will most likely be pushing to cut first pastures hay 2wk/1wk before Memorial Day.
I'm usually 2wks ahead everybody else making hay here-abouts. But been known to get in good 4th cutting before season's over. That's good for Mich.
