What To Plant?

I have an area where last year's chicken pen used to be. It's about 30x30 but it is a "wet" area. It still has the last of the straw down but I want to know if there is something I could plant there? Should I add dirt and mix it all up? Would something like potatoes, corn or tomatos do well there? It does get a lot of sun. Thanks all.

I'd till it some, then plant clover in there the first year to balance the soil. (and get ready for a record clover crop:) Poultry droppings are powerful stuff and will burn most garden stuff. Unless you plow them deep and let the ammonia wick back up slowly. :)

If it was me I think I'd try corn.
