Whew HOOOOOOooooo.........

I Got myself a new Stihl Chainsaw yesterday.

Sharon works a Lowes Home Improvement
Warehouse. They have Husqvarnas. I looked at those
& wanted to see what else was out there. So yesterday we stopped at the Ford/New Holland
Tractor store, where they sell Stihl saws, just to look at 'em.

I've been using a little Poulan 14 in. I bought
at Walmart, for 5 yrs. But, out here in the country,we have some 18 to 30 in. dia. tulip poplars,& sycamores.
The little Poulan just woudn't cut it.

I bought a Stihl MS 260, w/ a 54c.d. and w/ a 20 in. bar. That oughta do it.
Probably the last chainsaw I'll ever have to buy.
Any body need any wood. I don't have any wood stoves. No place to use it.
Think anybody'd buy it?
It's raining here today, so I gotta wait to try it out...........
' Til later..........

Them Stihl's are turds..........worst saws I've ever used........never again! Hard to start...won't idle worth a cr@p.........oilers don't are outrageous......I pitched a fit to the factory about a repair job by their authorized dealer and they sent me check to cover the cost of repairs but didn'toffer to buy their p.o.s. back! We own 5 of them in our family and ALL are darn near impossible to start............

What is wrong with you! Everyone knows Stihl is the best. Maybe it is a fianancial issue, but we all know you get what you pay for. Lastly, who in their right mind would buy a Jonsered?

You made a good decision. They make one of if not the best chainsaw. A co-worker a number of years ago was in a MBA program and they did a complete survey of the market. Stihl won hands down. I bought one and have never been sorry.

I've swung an 026 for about 14 years now, it starts easy, is light and gentle enough to toss around all day yet reaches thru and gets downright ornery with old oaks. It holds about enough gas for 1 tree. Have an old stihl too, bellering beast that's heavier than most firewood but if you can lift it, it'll plow. enjoy :)

We got one of them big old Stihl's around here. I call it the four man saw. It takes three guys to start it for the last guy standing (the forth) fresh enough to use it. Once started, It'll opperate all day.
Stihls are tough, although I've seen them multi-colored`n'name-branded.

I used an 051 for years and you'll be tired after handeling that one all day. Then one day the Jonsered man came to see me. No more Stihl's.

good choice, i was going to get one instead i opted for a husky, works just fine ,had it in the bucket of the tractor going through the field hit a bump , a couple of seconds tractor went over another bump with the back wheel looked down here it was the husky, ran over the saw , figgered it was toast, stoped checked it out bent the bar, otherwise it was fine, sure do hate doin stuff like that with brand new tools, wife gets that LOOK on her face , you know the one like an impendening storm.
