How can i get rid of spiders in my house with out using harsh chemicals? Is there some sort of home remedy? I've heard that they don't like a certain spice (rosemary or orgeano???). Does any one know?

Just scream really LOUD, and jump up on a chair, while hyperventalating with hysterics, point at the spider and screech "KILL IT! KILL IT!" and your husband will naturally protect you and squish it for you. No pesticide needed!

......works for me!

There is an old saying:
'If you wish to live and thrive
'Let the spiders run alive'

It's said to stem from the story concerning the search by soldiers for the body of Christ. Spiders spun webs across the entrance to the cave where his body lay. The soldiers came to the cave but on seeing the webs, thought it hadn't been entered and passed on by.

"Harsh" or effective chemicals are no longer available for retail any more.
They have all been banned.
The chemicals you can buy now wont hurt a fly.
Unless you bathe in them or drink them they wont hurt a human.
So whatever you can find is safe to use.

"-----get rid of spiders in my house with out using harsh chemicals?" well let's face it - inviting them to a church social ain't gonna help. Neither is your local dare program or bbegging them. Nope, it takes serious stuff to get rid of bugs. Okay i'll say even "harsh stuff".
Harsh as a sauna? Izzat harsh enough? Sure!
ANY KINDA BUGS WILL DIE when exposed to a temperature of (only) 125 degrees f or above for a period of 1/2 hour. Their teeny circulatory systems simply lack the ability to replace their body's moisture content and they dehydrate and they're dead and can be swept up. Many exterminators use that very same principle to their monetary advantage. They bag the infested building, fire up a salamander and start blowing heat thru the place. An hour later, it's sterile, only errant kerosene fumes are present and they're gone. Now what was so hard about that? :)

We HATE spiders and use the bee spray that will spray up to 10 feet or more. That's still too close for me!

We use the clicker things too and I haven't seen spiders in a long time.

There are several ways to kill them.
1. when you see one on the floor, step on it.
2. a fly swatter will also work on spiders.
3 there is always the 2 block method, catch the spider and put him on a block of wood then smash him with the other block of wood. ps. this method will also work with bricks, concrete blocks, etc.
4. you can also catch the spiders in a tissue and flush them down the commode
5. if you are a marksman, a bb gun will do it
hope that this helps you with the problem.
