Last night in reply to a cattle question I spelled Herford. Well I was reading in a cattle paper today and it seems as if it is Hereford.

I saw that, and I meant to mention it to you, I also wanted to poke fun, and grumble and complain about it.
Unfortunately I was just too busy, correcting the miscalculations of the nucular krew at tree mile iland. After saving the world, I forgot to come back to your post!
GEEEEZZZZEEE it's a her ford, not a here ford, I think you read it wrong somewhere else!!! LOL
Man I hope I never make a goof of that magnitude.
hehehe, best to ya buddy, if thats the biggest goof you make this week you are a winner.

A major bone of contention between me and Fred is the pronounciation of that word.

He says Her-ferd, I say Here-ferd.

Who's right?

I say Fred is right, but that's because that's how I always pronounced it. Here's what Dictionary.com says: (hrfrd, hr-frd)
