Dwarf goat crossing usa canadian borders

I have a pet dwarf goat and I am in Texas we will be going home soon to alaska Does anyone know if I will be able to cross the borders with her?
Does she need a health certificate?
Do you know who I can contact for this information I sure do not want to get stuck at the borders

I sent an email to you but not sure if you'll get it....I have a son who is border patrol agent at the Lynden/Blaine Washington Canadian Border who may be able to answer all your questions....he was just transferred there in Dec. from Southern Calif. border.... email me back if you don't get the info I sent to you at your email addy.

There may be all kinds of complications since Mad Cow. They don't consider a goat as a pet as far as livestock and border laws go.

I linked up the Texas extention office contacts for you. They won't know but should be able to get you headed off right.

I'm not sure if Canada is keeping US goats out, but the US is still keeping goats from Canada out so even if you do get the goat into Canada, you won't get it back out to go either to Alaska or back south.
