Hi all; Here in the heart of Wisconsin we are starting to do the spring plowin; sure been a long winter here for us all; today though is a mighty windy day for even the birds to be a flyin; watch any burnin goin on here; already been a few of those brush fires. Feels good to see the snow gone and the robins in the yard. Lookin for food they are, ground loosin the freeze, those worms better be on a watch now.

Hi there ezyed; I am located just outside of the West Central Wisconsin. Close to the LaCrosse area. On the high areas not to bad there. Gotta watch the lower spots and where the sun don't shine.

Well, I don't plow, but I do have a lot of brush cutting and tree felling I need to get done before the sap really rises and the leaves and undergrowth get going.
I tried to get some of it done today. I got one tree down, it had trunk rot in the base, and it was just a matter of time till it came down, no doubt in the drive, on my transformer, on a horse, or on one of our vehicles. Then, the weather did what is is so famous for here in Indiana, again. It changed. Snow. At first just light flurries, kinda cute. Then it came down so hard it got nearly dark out. Temperature dropped too. My motivation went down with the temperature, and I decided to go back into hibernation, at least till tomorrow. I woke up about an hour ago, and the sun is out. Temp is only 30 though.Ah well, I still have a good amount of firewood.
Indiana weather.
If you don't like it, wait five minutes.
It'll change.

I didnt realize UFFDA was said in other states. I figured it was just a Minnesota Specialty. *grin*

Its to wet here yet. We dont have snow on the ground here, but not many miles away there is still standing snow. I keep trying to work in the garden but the chilly wind keeps sending me back to the house where its warm.
I heard a robin yesterday for the first time. Ahh..spring. Our lakes ice is cracking and moaning so it wont be long now.

Yeah the wind has been a forceful one here too. Had like 40 mph winds yesterday. It sure helps to keep dryin out all those soggy spots. Now if the rain will only hold off until the plowin gets accomplished.
