I do not know if any of you use MSN messenger,
but I got this email today. I checked the Virus hoax site and this was not on it.

If adds you to their msn list, don't add it because its a virus;
tell everybody on your msn because if somebody on
your list accepts it then you get the virus too!!!

I never add any unknown to my friends list,
but in case it is a virus just thought I would post it.

Well, the only way to get a virus is to open an .exe file that is the virus program, in your computer. They usually come as email attachments. To get one through a chat program like Messenger, you would have to accept a file transfer and then open the file. The warning sounds like BS to me.
To be on the safe side, get good anti-virus software, like Norton, and keep it up to date, and always running.

It may be BS but I did check the virus hoax site and it was not there. I always check emails that warn of viruses and hoaxes. usually they are just more junk mail. I did not find this one so I figure it would not hurt to ask if anyone here knew about it.

Fern the red email one is a hoax and is listed below in the hoax/virus site. I keep this in my favorites and check on all warnings I get. Most are not real and I do not forward any without checking first.
