about "Global warming". Of course most so-called "environmentalists" aren't much interested in facts. They're more interested in exploiting a situation for their own political gain. Can you hear me algore?

Careful Les! That kind of talk could get you a Florida Car Wash.

I wish the global warming freaks could convince my woodpile it's warmer now. The earth changes folks - "nature's far too subtle to repeat herself." (Paul Muni 1930)

Course when we were kids it used to get to 25-30 below around here in mid-winter. Now it only gets to - oh - 25-30 below. :)

the press primts what it needs to so it can sell papers and audio advertising. the local p aper interviewed six iraq vetrens. six wanted to talk about the people of iraq how they live and are so glad to have the americans there. they look to us as heros. the kids follow the soldiers around like little puppies looking for some attention. it was refreshing to read some good news about the war.there is a lot of it out there but it don't sell papers.

Same people were the ones back during the Carter administration that stated flatly that there was global cooling in effect and that the polar caps would reach almost to the equator by 2050...

Personally I don't give a crap if Global warming or cooling or anything else is going on. What will be will be the planet will heal itself. We won't be here but that is the natural cycle of things. I think it was George Carlin that said in one of his early bits that the only reason that nature has allowed Humans to exist this long is because it wanted PLASTIC and that is about the one thing that nature can't make on it's own. Now that plastic is here our day's are numbered.
