Jim Beam BBQ ???

anyone ever been to the jim beam bbq festival held in lynchburg,tenn. saw something about it on food network and it looked interesting an i wondered if anyone has been there. we were going to tenn for a few days nashville,etc so i thought we'd include it if it was worth it .

It's not Jim Beam, it's Jack Daniels. One of the top "invitational" BBQ contest in the country.
I acutally won honorable mention in their BBQ sause contest a few years ago. 500 entries, 1 winner and 20 honorable mentions. Guess that was pretty good. They sent me a Jack Daniels cookbook.

Hi Donna,

I haven't been to the event but I saw a piece about it on TV (the Food Channel, I think) and from what I saw I'd say it's probably worth going to. Of course, just about any sort of food, especially BBQ, is pretty powerful bait for me. ;^)

bar-b-que and bluegrass music all i need is a lawn chair. i know it's early in october so i think we'll try to work around it.
