new york state gets my vote we have a wine industry,the falls of niagra,the mountians,the dairy industry, the egg industry,gambling casinos,biggist shipping ports,eight real nice neighbor states and one foriegn country.oh then we have new york city( drug capital,crime capital,rat industry,thief training facalities and general all around not a nice place)can i change my vote i feel depressed

I've been here (upstate) all my life and I like it, except the winters. I second that vote for NYC to become a separate state. SICK of supporting them.

Bob, went through NYS in '73' some of the prettiest country I had seen,even the tar paper shacks were so neat and clean,the city I didnt like.

I'm with you Bob. Since moving here in May I can Honestly say it is one of the prettest places on earth. We live in a real small community and every one has been wonderful even to new comers. The only thing I could live without, is the LONG winters.lol

welive in a near small village it has a general store( deli ?),a small auto repair shop( no gas), a church, a state road running through it and of course a gin mill(sells pizza)about 10 miles away we have a grocery store,bank,gas atations,used car dealer,and hardware store. what else do we need also 27 miles away we have a wallmart and the rest of the rat race
