I heard on the news this morning, under the 'interesting but useless facts' catagory, that the average human being eats eight spiders in their sleep during the course of their life time. First of all, how would they know that? If this is somehting you do in your sleep, you can't keep a record of it. What kind of research would they do to determine this? Weird.

kinda like the fact that the average human passes gas 16 times a day... I believe this tib bit escaped from the same source as yours did.

Stop it.
Put a cork in it.

I think they're getting hard up on what to research. About passing gas, I heard all kinds of details that I could have lived my whole life without knowing. Males more than females, always on waking, duration, content, and so on. Like the spider thing, you have to wonder how much is true, and exactly WHY we need to know. Lol!

Finally! I'm above averag    Posted 03-29-2004 at 19:46:33       [Reply]  [No Email]
Not sure how often I eat spiders, but I have $1.00 says I can beat 16 times!

I'm happy to be average and would prefer to be below average. I told this to a girl at work toady and she promptly told me that a little boy living in her neghborhood had to have a roach removed from his ear last week. Shudder.

Hitchcock did a show on earwigs crawling into a mans ear and the good news when a dr. dug it out only to inform him that it was a female and laid eggs in his head.
