Well I guess I have turned old fart yesterday. After years of fillings root canals failed root canals and gum infections, and chipped or broken teeth. I had my remaining six upper chompers pulled yesterday. Now I get to go around for the next two weeks gumming my upper lip. My daughters have been embarassed to be seen with me for the last coupla years because I was missing so many, and have been after me to do something about it. I have refrained from telling them that I would have had them done a coupla years ago but the money was going for the 3000.00 apiece of hardware that they have in their mouths altho the missus is not shy about telling them. The Doc was pretty good, shot me full of enough novacaine for an army. Am bit on the sore side this morning tho. Don't know how I am gonna get by this week on pudding oatmeal and soup though when I am a meat eater three meals a day. Friday I go and they put a wax set in to get the final fit and they say that if every thing is good the real ones should be here by the middle of the week. Then I just have to hope that I don't drop them in the john or run over them with the truck.

Ive had my dentures for 21 years and they are just about plumb wore out so I reckon I need to buy a new set one of these days. Also even after all these years I still hate wearing the danged things unless Im leaving the house to go somewhere which embarasses the kids lol

or the wife borrowing them!

I remeber having what few I had left. dentist wanted to dally around one or two at time. I insisted all at once or he'd be replaced. Got'em all one sittin'. Three wks later: healed, shrunk or shriveled just right for impressions. Smae thing. Both side at once.

Still can't eat with them. but look better, (ho ho) should help save hearing. And make me something more bionic? lol

Have a good one and gargle with the salt water often.

Had mine made before he pulled 20 one friday morning. He sent me home with them in!!!
Took about 4 months for the shrinking to quit, and finally I got them re-fit. Still hate the darned things and yer right, I don't like eating with them but I do!
