A line from the movie Jeremiah Johnson and that's how my day was yesterday. I figured since the weather was good, it would be a good day to clean out the steer shed. It should have taken about four hours to finish. First load out the top beater on my old Massey Harris no. 11 manure spreader went caput. Then the web chain broke before the load was finished. So I took all to the shop and removed the top beaters and left the empty rod in place with no teeth on it, then fixed the web chain. Second load I wised up to the fact that without teeth on the top beater bar it just gets in the way of everything and causes problems. Funny how that wisdom shows up after you do something dumb. Back to the shop to remove the top beater bar.

Next load: the temp. light on the skid steer comes on just as I finished loading. That turns out to be the sensor I think as nothing was actually overheating. I turned a four hour job into an entire day long event, now that's productivity! I guess i shouldn't complain as the job is done and all the damage is repairable.

I wonder what trouble I can find today? Maybe i shouldn't ask. Lol. See yall later.

Everytime I try to start something major, nothing seems to go right. I have lost a tool, or some tape roll, something I need, spend half the day looking for it. Then things break or don't fit right, lol. Its never a clean and cut job, always something gumming up the works.
